What is BLDC Motor Stator and rotor

   Brushless DC motor stator also called BLDC motor stator normally be used in the device of where require a

high speed RMP and require  strict control on the motor speed such  as  aviation model, high accuracy equipment. Due to its high requirements on the performance and requirements, it caused the high cost.

  The BLDC motor stator and rotor :

it is similar to the structure of the brush Motors, also it has the rotor and stator while the structure and function is reverse. For the brush motors, the rotors is the coil and the stator is magnet. For the BLDC motors, the rotor is the permanent magnets and connected with the shaft, the stator is the stator core with the coil. In short, to create magnet field around the coil axis orientation by changing the frequency and wave of the current that was input to the coil. This magnet field drive the magnet rotors to rotate. The performance of the BLDC motor was determined by the magnetic steel, magnet flux, input voltage etc…it also has close connection with the control performance as the input is DC current and it must be transferred to the 3 phase current, at the same time, it must receive the control signal from the controller to control the motor speed.

 In short, the structure of the BLDC motor is simple, and the critical components to determine its performance is the brushless electronic governor. A high quality electronic governor require: SCM design, circuit design, complex manufacturing process. So the total price is much higher the brush motors.
